On the 28th of november, the second edition of the BAST-BYF course on open aortic repair took place in Saint-Luc, Brussels.
Firstly, the participants were given an interesting theoretical session on tips and tricks in open aortic repair bij Prof. Astarci (chief of cardiovascular surgery UCL) and Dr. Elens (vascular surgeon UCL, president of the BYF). Afterwards, the participants were able to practice their skills on aortic flow-models supplied by Getinge.
All participants agreed that this was an important and very usefull tool to develop your vascular surgery skills!
